Functional Capacity Assessments

A functional capacity assessment is used as a tool to capture your needs and level of function holistically, to identify solutions and recommendations to help you achieve your goals, and to ensure you can receive the support you require.

Minor Home Modifications

At Building Resilience OT, we can assist with Minor Home Modifications, including ramps, platform steps, grab rails, and lighting installation (related to functional need).

Assistive Technology

At Building Resilience OT, we can assist with assessment and prescription of Assistive Technology including beds and mattresses, wheelchairs (manual and powered, recliner chairs and other seating, mobility scooters)

Therapy and Capacity Building Intervention

We can work with you on your identified goals to increase your independence, safety and function with your daily, weekly and monthly tasks and routine.

This can include pain management education, task analysis and breakdown, meal preparation and skill development, daily and weekly routine structure and development and falls prevention.

Aged Care Services

We work with older adults aged 65+ and can assist you with any of the services mentioned under this section including functional capacity assessment, minor home modifications, assistive technology, and therapy and capacity building interventions. At Building Resilience OT, we have a sound understanding of how the Aged Care and Home Care Package system works and thus, we are confident we can support you.

In addition to the services already mentioned, we can also assist with cognitive and Dementia-specific assessment and intervention, to ensure you can remain safe and independent for as long as possible.

Ergonomic Assessments

An ergonomic assessment is the assessment of a worker at their workstation to ensure correct working postures and workstation set-up. At Building Resilience OT, we can work individuals and businesses to provide you with comprehensive ergonomic assessment and recommendations, to optimise your safety and prevent injury.
